Improvement Through Partnership

Deborah established herself as an Independent Consultant in 2005 after completing a ground breaking, national review of older people’s services on behalf of the Healthcare Commission, Commission for Social Care Inspection and the Audit Commission. The publication of Living Well in Later Life, March 2005 excited media attention and led directly to the Government’s Dignity in Care campaign.

A commitment to improving people’s experience of health and social care services led Deborah to specialise in safeguarding adults. She has experience of chairing a number of safeguarding adult boards and has helped to shape national and regional policy in safeguarding adults.

A professional writer, researcher, social entrepreneur and public speaker. Deborah uses her expertise to lead partnerships, putting the person who uses health and care services at the centre of their care.
